Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

"Dance, my little puppets,
set your soul free.
Dance, my little puppets,
dance just for me."
- verse iii, sandy nobody
She found his pacing… exciting. Grimoire was tempted to follow him back and forth and back and forth. However, she could see the conflict in his eyes. His - their - awareness was turned inwards. Had she followed him, it would have been perceived a threat in the delicate moments of indecision of who would speak with her. She’d requested Elijah, but she wasn’t under any illusion that was who’d receive her. Perhaps he would decide to simply “stick it to her” and hide Elijah away beneath the storm of Ego. And so, she didn’t jeopardized herself or him and she remained quiet as her metallic eyes tracked him with predatory precision.

She watched the surfacing of defined thoughts on his visage. His eyes gleamed with history, and thought she couldn’t tell what it was, she was aware of the weight of it. Grimoire was only aware that his aura ground itself deeply into the earth. For the moment, he was listening and wouldn’t try to eat her. The wolf that turned to her was rational and suspicious. He looked ready to flee back into the depths of his body. However, she could see the trainning him - the lightness of his paws and the unwavering intensity in his jade eyes.

His speech, while more mild and smooth, seemed exhuasted. Whoever Elijah was, he seemed over-all, tired. Ready, maybe, to be finished. Grimoire noted how he was allowing her one question. Too bad… Interviews usually implied more than that. But if this were the only question she got, she hoped she selected the best one to proceed with.

”How is it that you hope - or had hoped - to exist, especially in regards to your relationship with Ego?”

She was here to understand the split personality better. She had wanted to know if Elijah had been born with Ego, or if the personality had emerged as a result of an event. She had wanted to know if the two had the same goals. She had wanted to know why he was outcasted by his pack. She had wanted to know… well, a lot more. But, she was most curious about their relationship existing in the same body, and she make herself content with whatever knowledge her chose to give her.
