Re(3): Another Dragonfly ID


Hi Fred; Thanks for the extra photo since this dragonfly is a little hard to identify since it does not show all the features it should for the species. There is no doubt about it being in the Skimmer group due to the venation in the wings but which skimmer. At first it looked a little like a Four-spotted Skimmer with the amber tint along the wing costas and even maybe a Wandering Glider but I think it is a female Widow Skimmer. The species should have black at the wing bases and some black at the wing tips but I am not seeing those features. So a lightly marked female Widow Skimmer. Compare this to the normal female Widow.
