Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

And its consequences keep you up at night

There is no love, just appetite.
And its consequences keep you up at night.

Kasabian scowls upon swallowing his first few sips -- the murky water of the Lagoon will indeed take some time to get used to again. The Lagoon was far from a beautiful and plentiful place. It swelled with water and mud in the summer and it was frigid and icy in the winter. But the harsh conditions of this place seemed fitting enough for the place. It was once filled with hardened, grizzled men, stallions who were fit and ready to pillage those who thought they owned the world because they collected mares. Band stallion collected mares and children how the brothers of the Lagoon should collect scars and war stories.

The spotted stallion didn't need to defend himself to show his worth. Kasabian noticed the mars on his pelt and the general wisdom that came from the way he carried himself. He had lived his life. He'd seen things. Similar to the buckskin stallion himself and his ailing hip, Indian Hemp's drifting vision was just a sign that he had experienced a life worth living.

But the young one here, he was too cocky. He added no value to their band other than being a warm body. He'd likely end up being more a liability. He showed up here already wounded. Kasabian was not impressed.

"Why would we want some foolish boy who can't even evade the common feline?" The buckskin stallion spat at the paint brute in the water. His lobes lay flat against his skull. He knew he could teach the boy to be of some use, but if he wanted to live in the Lagoon he needed to know his place. "Prove your worth and maybe I'll let you stay a while."

The stallion's gaze returns to the appaloosa again and he merely nods in response. "Yes, Kendry." He drones on. "I trust his judgement."With the gentle flick of his otherwise idle tail Kasabian backs away from the muddy riverbank with every intention of leaving the two where he found them. "By the way, I'm Kasabian." He said. "Your new boss."
