The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Grey Wind

The male was more happy with the outcome that this pack meeting was having. Last time not many had come, but he could not blame them. Kershov was only recently gone, and he could not be upset with others for leaving as well. Grey Wind himself had thought about leaving when Ker did, but he had a bond with this pack itself, not just the previous Ice King. But now more time had gone by and more wolves had come when he had called. And now there were some newcomers as well. Abendrot’s numbers were growing, and it was a good feeling to see that. He wanted to help bring the pack back to being the strongest in the lands, to hold up the reputation that they had come to have. And now that Macaria seemed to be a different wolf, and different for the better in Grey Wind’s opinion, life seemed to be getting easier. But he knew that life was never truly easy and this was all a façade for something that was sure to come and stir things up. Yellow eyes looked at the group, at the teen and now adult that Halina had took on as her own. At the two mated females that didn’t care who saw their love, their pelts intertwined together constantly with nips and kisses being given here and there. At the new siblings that had joined. At Macaria who had been busy cleaning her pelt. And at the others who had stayed loyal to the pack and come to every call.

The male’s audettes perked at Halina’s words to him, "Ygritte and I went on an impromptu vacation, both for some alone time and to see how these two would fare without us. As I expected they did just fine - Afterall, they got along fine before more, there is no reason for them not to be fine without me." The brute chuckled at her words, knowing exactly what the female meant. And he knew that she would not have wanted to train vargs that were weak and unworthy of it, so of course the ones she had chosen would be able to survive on their own or else they would not be here. Ranks were then discussed and there had been no immediate complaints about most not moving up, but Abendrot was not the type that complained about such things. If they were only here for a rank then they were not in the right place. Lupin’s gaze had been focused on Macaria, but his light green orbs turned to Halina when she addressed him. "Lupin, you too will get a rank once you are old enough to earn it. It is after all not the rank that matters, but the deeds that earn the rank." The skinny brute nodded, and he too seemed unfazed by the fact that he was not given a rank yet. He seemed like he would do well here.

Grey Wind asked the other’s in the pack to offer to lead training sessions, and he was not surprised when Halina stepped up to help. "- I Of course will lead the training, Grey Wind. After all, I am the best warrior in this pack, aren't I?" Her blue orbs winked his way before turning to her mate."I think it is time you and I sparred anyway, dear. What is love without a bit of pain and suffering?" Ygritte’s form leaned into the raven colored ess, a growling purr in her throat at her lover’s words. ”You know exactly how I like it my love.” Halina’s words continued as she moved, her words partially directed to Ambrosia and Lupin. "Lupin, Ambrosia, both of you would benefit from training now that you are older, but I will not stop you if you instead wish to train as a spy. Do any of the rest of you wish to train with me? I can promise you skills, exhaustion, and bruises galore, fear not. But I cannot promise you will leave my ring unscathed..." Lupin spoke for the first time, his words raspy as if he had not used his voice in a while. ”Yes, I will join.” The words were straight forward and to the point. He seemed to already be mature for his age, but that was common among Abendrot vargs. "Thank you Halina. I look forward to joining you for your session. When you find a place and time, call for the group to join you.” Now he just needed to see if any would want to step up and offer to train the spies and assassins in the special skills that came with them.

"Fight back,"He snarled.
