The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

It all sounded good. In fact, it all sounded almost too good. It made her weary initially, cautious of how somebody could offer her all these things without any true commitment. If it was possible, and if it was so good, then why didn't everybody do it? Still, more of her told her to believe in it. It gave her something to aspire towards. After some year or so, she had finally been presented a goal.

Her tail waved and she stood proudly forward, though she ducked aside and presented herself with a way out of the grotto. She was small enough to scramble through the stone and reeds and into the world beyond; after all, she had grown hungry but for what, she could not say. She had learnt a long time ago to keep to herself when she felt that.

"All of this... I like all of this." She nodded to herself, mulling over the words slowly in her mind before her lips broke into a broad, toothed grin. "Yes, I will remember you. Remember your smell...your face... yes, I will find you. Find the gypsies, I will." Her ears twitched, her eyes wide with quiet joy as she partially rambled to herself. She reached out tentatively then, her nose grazing the white of the woman's fur to breathe in her scent.

Slowly, she stepped back then. She began to back up into the stone paths that lead up from the grotto; "For now...Eto must go...but find you, I will." She paused. She flashed another grin again with a dip of her head and then, she pivoted to scamper away, her belly rampant with a newfound hunger and her blood hot with a newfound mission.
