Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

with every rain comes a fresh breath of life

He knew there wasn’t really a lot he could do just yet, he needed connections that were formed for him by a pack something he knew now that he wasn’t so shy around everyone that he could hopefully do on his own now. Back then he could barely utter a word out without feeling foolish. Ame’s confidence had grown, Semele had given him that courage to use his skills and what he learned to help others. He hoped he still could help others. He wasn’t doing anything prolific today, but it didn’t mean that plans couldn’t change.

His mostly grey form stood in the water. Light creamy brown twos stretching in the water for a moment enjoying the coolness that set over his black paw pads. Ame sighed, relief flooding over his four paws before his darker grey ears twitched at the sound of paw steps moving towards him. He turned his darker grey and tan head in time to see the pure white female facing him, her forest green eyes locking on his own light blue and yellow streaked ones. She was nice with her greeting, eliciting a friendly response from Ame as well. His tail waved lightly once more a smile coming over his tan and white maw before replying, ”This one has been having a fair day, Miss. This one hopes that today has been treating you equally as well?” He has his odd way of speaking, something he had picked up from his mother who was a nomad herself before she had found his father Meryl. He for a while spoke as most did over Moladion as well as like his mother. An accent that adapted with who he spoke with, but when his father vanished and he began to spend more and more time with his mother he began to shift more permanently into her ways versus what was normally seen.

Most were curious about the speech pattern of the wanderer. His mother said the reason she spoke in such way was because the world revolved to much around oneself. By placing such words away one could see the world differently and live easier for others. Ame understood it more the more he grew. He respected his mother greatly for her views and his father for his selfless profession perhaps two things that drove him to make the choices which led him to where he was today. He wondered what caused the female before him to choose the path of a loner. She smelled strong of the free lands, but there were other scents upon her fur, one of which he faintly recognized as Dragonfly.

”You are of the gypsies?” Ame asked, though he was fairly certain it was still polite to be sure rather than assume. Maybe she, like him, had found another group to call to him though it was just him and Jackson for now. He had honorary members in Halcyon and his sister Yuki as well but they chose to live in the packs rather in the free lands. Not that it truly bothered him. Links in a well needed chain to each place and hopefully over time there would be even more in time.
