Nodding her head, Amber had heard of these wolves whom attacked their own kind for fun, and maybe even food, if it was that wrong. But to hear that was what had happened to Taika shook her to her core. For a wanderer, she sure knew how to take risks. It was time to ask for questions to the brown wolf before her.
"Did this attack happen during your birthing, or right after?" she questioned, making sure that the words did not sound forceful, but more kind and inviting a answer. There was no need to be harsh with her friend, and as her daughter came over, Amber saw right to play along with what the child had said.
"You are a very special girl indeed, the water spirits don't give their gifts to just anyone. It takes a brave warrior to even fight those monster, anyhow" her voice was full of praise here, as if the pup had fought a badger and returned with it's heart. When, in reality, she'd played in the mud and brought them back a stick from it's gooey depths.
