Possible sighting near mass pike

I am not certain, but at approx. 7:30am on Wed 7/6/16 while travelling on I-90 W about a mile before the Sturbridge exit I saw what I expected to be a deer, but upon looking closer appeared to be a catamount. It had just crossed the highway from right to left and disappear in the median about 1,000 yards before the State Police barracks on I-90. Other cars slowed and took notice with a better, closer view than I. Sniff them out for a better description!
