It was not until the day before yesterday that I was told that there was one, or possibly two, other clubs fishing out of the Wildlife Ramp on Back Bay this weekend. Those of you familiar with the area know how crowded that area can get. One of the other groups has voluntarily changed their weigh in until 3:00 PM, in order to reduce the confusion expected at 2:00 PM when we return to the ramp area. Having said that...plan on arriving at the ramp earlier than you normally would. Do your socializing after your boat is in the water and clear of the ramp. Tie-off space is limited so please do not tie your boat parallel to the bulkheads and leave room for your fellow fishermen. Give assistance to those arriving without a partner to help launch their boats safely and quickly. We have yet to sort out which group will head out the canal first, but I hope we will be the first ones out since we will weigh in first. We blast off from the bay end of the ramp so lets get in the water in plenty of time to allow ourselves time to idle out the canal in order to blast off at the published time of 5:45 AM. Please advise me if you will not be fishing this tournament so we don't end up holding everyone up, expecting your arrival. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation. Replies:
