Perhaps changed most of all out of all of the packs is this place. It was stripped out of its forested home and now instead lays at the edge of an ocean. The vast sparkling eternity of the water lays to the south of the land, while the rest of the land is made of rocky outjuttings. Gone are the trees, and all that remains for greenery are the short shrubs that dot the paths in the rock, and the moss that grows thanks to the spray of the waves. Further toward the shore, barnacles are a plenty, and look to cut the pads of those who slip on the wet surface. These extend out into the water itself, and the tough land has multiple caverns scraped into it, providing ample dens for the wolves that live there. Depending on the tide, however, the lower caverns may flood, and the vicious swirling water may prove to be dangerous as there is a strong undertide ready to pull unsuspecting swimmers to their doom. Even the tide itself is powerful enough to push intruders against one cliff or another. The ocean does provide, however, plenty of food for those who brave the waters - there are many breeds of seals and sea lions, though the males that protect each of these are vicious and territorial. There are also turtles that come ashore to breed and to lay their eggs - both the adults and the eggs themselves can provide sustenance to the wolves. But they must take care - the water is deep enough to allow sharks to come to shore from the depths below. Those unwilling to venture the waves or wet their paws with the moist sand of the shore can find snakes and hares in the rocky outcroppings, but they must beware the Komodo dragon and other monitor lizards that perch upon the shore - they are swift and move in groups, not to mention they carry venom in their bite that causes immense pain, paralysis, and prevents blood clotting. This is not the land for the weak of heart or the weak at all really. This is Uyaraut - ‘The Diamond in the Rough’.

The Iberian mistress seemed to think it funny of her to ask such questions. Nimueh on all accounts had always been trying to get herself into some flirtatious, hot mess whenever the chance arose. It was partially for that reason Dante had called upon her. As much as hated to admit it the Queen needed a distraction, something to dull away the aches of past memoirs and her singular lover. What was going on between the two was something of a fling, nothing seemingly too permanent. Nimueh was acting as a distraction to her and in the nick of time really, but there was some residual guilt in her heart. She couldn’t let the Iberian woman just become a distraction, no, Nimueh deserved better than that. This did not necessarily mean that Dante would pursue Nimueh in light of a more permanent relationship, but at this moment she did not. The Queen was feeling somewhat lost. The crown that now rested atop her head was not was had scared her, no, Dante loved Bright Moon and all the wolves inside of it. It was not the leading that scared her, rather it was the weight of loneliness that had set in over her. There was something about having this power all in her paws that inflated her sense of lonesomeness, like there was no one who ought to approach her, lest they have only power-hungry intentions in their mind.

And that scared Dante, but now was not the time to think on things of such weightedness. Right now, Dante was focused on Nimueh.

Having gotten the better the Queen, Nimueh had taken comfort in her position, but Dante without even trying caught her glassy eyed counterpart of guard. Moving nimbly she found herself face to face with Niumeh flayed flesh. The Ethiopian woman couldn’t begin to understand what she was seeing and so rather than gulping for answers she knew she did not have Dante resided herself to silence after questioning Nimueh. A pang of sadness shot through her at the sight of her friend’s crown turning away from her. She reached out her nares pressing to the base of Nimueh’s crimson and pepper colored audette, trying offer any comfort she could. She may not have known the extent of the pain to which a wound of this magnitude could cause but Dante would do her best to make sure that Nimueh would have nothing but the best care. It is nothing you need worry about, my darling. Time heals all wounds, even mine, but it will just take more time than it does for everyone else. If I had told you and you had tried to protect me, perhaps the battle would not have been won. If I had stayed out of the battle, perhaps the battle would not have been won. There is no use lingering on the 'what-ifs' and the 'why-nots' of life. Yesterday is gone and nothing can be done to change it, and what matters now is today and tomorrow - the only things we have any real influence on. Dante smiled and shook her crown even as she moved back to Nimueh’s other side, Well spoken, but that will not change my mind on caring for you. Whatever it is we will call ourselves, together or apart, will never change my efforts to make sure you are safe and in good health. I owe you that just as your Queen, whatever else I have to give comes from my heart.

A vivid electricity sparked between their mingling furs. Nimueh’s body shivering against Dante’s sending a similar wave down her spine. There was no denying the flare of embers that had stirred in her cavernous chest, but she did not know for sure if these would become anything but flirtatious remarks and playful nights. But this did not matter, not now. Time would unravel the mystery for them and whatever it was that they became Dante would never care so long as the Iberian lady stayed by her side. A soft purr rolled up through her maw as her pale eyed mistress tucked herself under Dante’s crown and into the fine, yet short furs of her neck. And slowly as if to tease the Queen, she trailed her tongue slowly up the side of her jawline to the base of her auditory pillar. Dante shoulder’s had relaxed as she leaned into the touch, but she jumped slightly at the playful nip. Soft laughter fell from her lips, Enough about me. How has the throne been treating you?, Nimueh whispered to her. Dante opened her lids revealing her glossy stones of violet and grey. She flicked her vision over Nimueh’s bodice before focusing out onto the night sky. The stars glittered over their bodies lighting them in interspersed patterns, thus in effect highlighting the petite and delicate faerie that rest up against the Queen.

It is quiet and can be rather lonesome, but I cease to find myself amazed at the feat we accomplished. And quite frankly I believe my little sister might have more expertise on the subject of ruling than I. Dante laughed quietly, Seraphina had been raised to one day take the crown and though she did always seem very well fitted to the job the elder sister knew that there was no one more naturally tailored for the Crown. There are many things to think on like alliances, recruiting, and rankings. There are very few of us now and our only newcomer was a young lady, a mere babe, and I have not seen the likes of her since that first meeting. But let us not focus on the trivialities of work that consume my mind in the day, for now you are my mind only thought… The Queen had dawned her crown momentarily, but in an attempt to change the mood she added a flirtatious after thought, I feel as if I know very little of your true expertise. Dante traced a circle around the base of her Iberian mistresses audette, before drawing her tongue up through it and nipping gently at the tip.

The fiery feathered woman mused seductively into her companions auditory.
