Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

A SLEEPLESS malice as black as the oncoming wall of night
So it ever was. So will it always be. Such is the nature of evil.

The anticipation tastes almost as good as that first bite, the way his teeth sink past the rugged fur and into the supple hardness of muscle. The way the skin pops beneath the pressure finally and then it is all sinew and tendons. The first scrape of bone drives him harder, each bite more furious than the next. And in all that chaos and glory he scents the fear, hears the whines and yelps, and feels his chest tighten with something akin to euphoria. While Underidge was remarkably unlike the rest of the feral population who enjoyed the power of it all, when deep in the bloodlust even he felt gratification at the fear of those beneath him. If Eden would let him then he would rid the world of Abel and all those like him but they were trying a different route. Get rid of the darkest point of weakness and see if the strength returns. Whatever Eden asked of him, he would do. He was a lawless wolf with few loyalties but those he did hold were so fast, so strong, that nothing could interfere.

The merest movement at his side has his ears pressing flat to his skull, a growl rumbling from the mouth wrapped and gnawing around the leg of Abel. Blood bubbles with the noise, spilling over and splattering out as his slver eyes flick wildly. His body tenses, half on the verge of something wild and primal, but it is Eden that appears with calculated movements and the tension flees. Ears prick, breath huffs out and eyes fasten on him but not once does he stop what he is doing. Instead, he revels in the way Eden joins him, the feeling of betrayal that slickens the air. The utter disappointment that he feels in his victim when he finally just gives up.

His King begins to yank Abel backwards and at first Underidge responds with snarls but then he follows, shoulder blades higher over his body than anything as he slinks and gnaws. Snap and grinds. The fire burns hot as they draw closer and the sound of heavy breathing is drowned out by the roar of it. At last, at very last, there is very little holding this ragged meat together. Underidge should step back and allow Eden to rid his brother of it. What he does instead, is crowds closer, the whites of his eyes showing, and he fastens his teeth around it then yanks and twists with all his might until it gives way and he stumbles back, holding the severed leg of Abel.

He will allow Eden to finish the ritual, the cleanse the wound. In truth, he feels that it was fester and Abel will die; that they will come to him begging him to release the boy from that torment, but he didn't care. Not truly. He felt only pleasure at having been chosen for this mission by his alpha. So he stands now covered with blood and gore and a severed leg hanging from his mouth and watches.
