PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Inka

"I am sure she will return when she gets her fill," Taika said, and Inka nodded in response, her expression one of begrudging acceptance. For a moment she considered confessing to the young mare about how she and Adelheid had fallen out, and how she had not seen her for a year, and that she was not sure her daughter was ever coming back. But something told her to keep this information private, as least for now. She did not want to sound like a paranoid, possessive mother in front of cheerful young Taika, especially so soon after her return to the Peak. And she especially did not want to discuss it in front of Argento.

The Friesian mare brightened up a little when Taika offered to look for Adelheid, her strong neck straightening and her dark eyes gleaming with interest. "Oh, would you? I'd be so grateful. I have no idea where she went; I looked for her up and down the commons a couple times to no avail. I think she may have left the island altogether. If you see her, tell her... tell her I miss her, would you? And tell her her baby brother wants to see her. Argento here was just a day old the last time Adelheid was here."

The yearling colt beside her nipped at her shoulder. "Um, I think I can speak for myself, thank you very much," he said, an undercurrent of bemusement in his voice. But Inka ignored him, her full attention fixed almost feverishly on Taika as the conversation turned to the young mare's travels. "Your mother was always a free spirit," she commented with a smile. "It's good to have you back, though. Will you be staying for now? Or will you at least return once you've been to see your brother? The Peak has been so quiet lately; it would be good to have another familiar face around."

Something had pricked Argento's attention. The colt stepped forward, blue eyes locked on Taika's face with intense interest. "Can I go with you?"
