we danced with the ghosts of dead stars

As her mind became less muddled she twitched a hoof, then another until she realized she indeed had four seemingly healthy limbs. Her body was still foreign as she raised herself upwards, her iridescent mane falling over her neck and across her face. It was with that when Myrcella started to twitch her ears and blink a few times and really take in where she was. She was smack dab in the middle of the field, the sky was dark and there was the smell of smoke and fire. Fighting those alarms going off in her head Myrcella decided she needed to get moving, it’s not every day that a star is re-embodied, she had to have a purpose, right?

She moved to her legs no better than a newborn foal, clumsy and shaky it took roughly three tries to get properly to her hooves. Dark violet and navy legs stood sprawled for a moment before she moved forward a few times and then back a few steps adjusting herself before walking in a circle. Flicking her tail over her hindquarters Myrcella moved a couple of feet and blinked back the ash that tried to cling to her lashes. This looked purely like chaos, so why was she here? Although there was no pure distinction the child knew it was night- or at least dusk. She could feel it in her very bones. There was no sun shining down on her but the sky was clouded over and raining ash, red and oranges of fire reflected off of the sky in some sort of nightmare come to life.

“when she talks it looks like this.”
