Re(1): Science Fiction Grows Up

I’ve seen all of those changes take place but I didn’t understand why they happened or their significance. Lately I’ve found myself drifting back to those youthful days of comic books and pulp magazines. I’ve even written some stories in that simple, silly pulp style. Anyone interested in “Bucky Chaos and the Robotic Terror”? (chuckle) Even the titles in those days evoke a smile today. The changes over the years have been big but it’s all part of growing up. Speculative fiction interests me these days especially historical fiction like Neal Stephenson and cyberpunk from William Gibson. I hear terms like “postcyberpunk” and “baroque” being used so maybe we’ve all ready moved on to something new.
