I saw what appeared to be a juvenile mountain lion in N.Smithfield RI on Brookside Dr at Mattity Rd.I was less than 20 ft away when it crossed in front me heading towards the pond. The cat was about 2ft. tall, 3 ft.long with a tail also 3ft. long,black at the end.I first saw it at about 100 ft.and thought it was a fox because of the orangish color but quickly realized it was bigger and obviously not canine but feline when it paused and looked directly at me from about 10-15 ft..very cool and unnerving at the same time
