It was a good dream, the one that she had succumbed to, it was a good dream that she was reluctant to leave, especially when roused by a stranger. But that was exactly what happened - some ignorant titan nudging her shoulder to wake her. Snarls and teeth and claws were set upon ripping the idiot apart, but then the scent of fish wafted beneath her nares and pulled her mind back from the subconscious. 'Sorry to wake you, but I didn't want to let this go to waste. Want it?' Hellene responded with a growl and snatched her paw out to grab the half corpse of a fish with her claws, dragging it toward her before starting to gnaw on it. A large bite or two started off her meal, but then she swiveled her ambers upward and stared at the ebony Titan who loomed over her, examining him. He moved backward, sitting down away from her, but Hellene still thought the same thing of him - that he was probably just another horny brute that had come to find a mate. After all, winter was almost here - everyone was getting their rocks off, excited to reproduce as an excuse to perform coital exercises.

Hellene wanted nothing to do with that.

In her entire life, she had had a few crushes, sure, but she had never once had a mate. Though she loved pups, she had only ever adopted them - but that was enough for her. There was no need for her to make her own when there were so many that needed homes... And besides, brutes were worthless when in the throws of passion. Kalgalath was unique - his relationship with Sebring was good - they supported each other and were openly affectionate with one another. But so many others left after the deed was done. Or did not follow through. Hellene's own father was a strong, powerful brute... But he had also not been affectionate. He was useful, but Hellene had never considered him family. Kalgalath was more family than her father had been - he was like the brother that Hellene had never had.

Afterall.... Hellene was at Romance River. It was inconceivable to think that anyone would come here for any reason other than to find a mate. You know, aside from Hellene herself.

"I'm not going to sleep with you, if that's what you were thinking." She snarled at him again before her incisors pulled the last of the flesh off of the fish and swallowed it. Hellene's tongue slipped out, the rough spicules pulling at her skin to clean the fish from her lips. All the while, her gaze was upon him, unblinking, untrusting. Slowly, cautiously, she rose to her paws, her weight remaining back on her haunches in case he came at her and tried to pin her or take her forcefully. But then he did not. He sat quietly in front of her, unspeaking, unmoving. He did not appear hostile or sketchy in any sense of the word... But that did not mean that his thoughts were uncouth. Hellene hesitated... But then sat opposing him, opening her maw to speak. "So then, what is it that you want? I warn you, I'm a master in fighting and will take you down should you try to attack me. I have no desire to carry your seed." Always, Hellene was rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. She was stubborn and such... But it had kept her alive this long. Even if she wasn't the best of liars.
