Jorah:
Of course she was expecting someone else. Afterall, she had called directly for Kalgalath... But that had not stopped Jorah or even deterred him - no, instead it had only driven him forward, encouraging him to greet this stranger for it would mean that he would run into the King. It would look like Jorah was being a good little pack member - greeting strangers, being friendly and helpful - but really he was just being a smart wolf who took advantage of every opportunity that was presented to him. It didn't hurt, however, that she was easy on the eyes. For this ess was not a dainty thing - she was beautiful, yes, but she was also quite obviously well trained in the ways of the world. She was well muscled, but her flesh was marred, showing the hardships that she had faced - that she had survived. And thus, he had laid on his charm in...well... The least subtle of ways, openly complementing her. For her part, she was polite, well-mannered, giving freely her name...but then something happened that Jorah had not expected - Kalgalath did not arrive calmly, but in a blur, full of emotion.
Yes... Clearly the pair knew each other. Jorah had assumed as much... But not that this ess was his daughter. Jorah had learned about Aindreas, Adara, and their sibling... But had not know that there was another daughter. He was distressed to have such an obvious lack of knowledge on this subject, and already a new plot was forming in his mind, one in which this newcomer would be the key to fulfilling his mission. As he watched the scene unfold, with the two wolves embracing, tears staining each other's pelts, he knew that this fae could be one of Kalgalath's weak spots. He needed to know more - the history between the two of them, why she had been gone, where she had been, where she had come from... And get close to her. Whether in friendship or romantically, he would tap through the walls surrounding her heart and gain her trust until he was near Kalgalath... And then learn the truth of his desires.
Yes... Blayre would very likely be Kalgalath's downfall.
The beauty glanced in his direction, her facade apologetic and Jorah merely smiled at her and shook his head. He mouthed 'later' to her silently and turned, heading back into the wood, knowing that now was not the time to start his plans.
Kalgalath:
Part of him was afraid she would run as she had once. But somehow, she did just the opposite. She embraced him, rushing towards him even as he moved toward her, her words soft and sweet... But mature compared to the innocent lyrics she once had spouted. 'Father, I missed you too...I'm sorry.' The pair stood like that for a long time. There was so much that needed to be said...discussed... But now was not the time for that. Each wanted to be content in this moment, just enjoying the presence of the other. Briefly his nares flared at the scent of another - Jorah, apparently, was behind him... But Kalgalath paid him no attention, as he heard retreated footfalls that signaled the brute's retreat into the wood of the pack.
There would be time later for discussion of the harder things. But the lighter things could be talked about now, and as soon as she pulled away, that was where his daughter steered the conversation. 'How are things here? Are you okay? What about Aindreas? Chenzii? Hellene? Has Aurora been safe?' Kalgalath brought up a paw, swiping away his tears before answering. "I am wonderful now that you have returned, Blayre. But I have been well.. I have a new... Mate..." He winced, knowing that those words swerved close to the taboo conversations. "Her name is Sebring and... Well she is amazing. You have two new brothers that you have to meet... Aindreas has pups of his own and now is over in Spring Grounds, for Striker left Moondown Shadows. Chenzii is... Well she is sad. She had two pups and one died and the other left... But she will be glad to see you." Kalgalath shuffled from one foot to the other, wanting to ask her so many things... But he did not want to scare her off.
"And you? Have... Have you been okay?" He paused and averted his eyes, pain welling up in them as his vocals dropped to hardly more than a whisper. "Are you going to stay? Have you truly come home?"
OOC - SO. Basically back story on the plot with Jorah. He works for Imhotep who is the arch-nemesis of Kal's father who has just recently died (somewhere else, not in Blossom Forest). Kal has inherited the throne and Jorah has to find out whether Kal is going to take the throne or whether Imhotep will not be contended. Jorah will have to kill Kal if he plans on taking his father's throne.
ALSO. Jorah betrayed Imhotep once by falling in love with one of his targets. He was castrated for it, but it isn't visible. Basically... He is going to try to use Blayre to get to Kal. And fall in love with her. And then either she will like him too ORRR he can just die. Whatever it works out to be XD
