During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

A M E I R A

'That’s great to hear. You haven’t been missing much here. I would say I’ve kept an eye on things, you know, if there had been anything to keep an eye on.' Ameira nodded and smiled, both glad and concerned that there had not been a lot of activity in the pack. She wanted this to be a haven for those who had nowhere else to go, and if the world had changed to be a better place where everyone was happy and had a home, then great - she would not complain. But she doubted that was the case... Especially given that her own situation had not changed or improved. But the snowy lass was also glad that everything had been quiet so that it was not as if she was shirking her duties as Titan's co-leader. As the laird chuckled, Ameira had gone on talking, describing the new lassie that she had accepted at the border herself when Titan had been absent, and then the conversation turned and the ball returned to Titan's court.

'Hm… well perhaps a new member is a cue to get the gang together. I feel we’ve given them time to adjust. After all, my leadership hasn’t caused the pack to burn to the ground yet.Horizon and I had a one-on-one meeting directly following the pack meeting. He is very interested in the role of the pack’s gamma. He said he already has experience tending to our borders and knowing what I do about him from how you’ve spoken, I am pleased that he’s seeking out that rank. The final part of the audition is to recruit a new member to the pack. I told him there isn’t a time limit but I haven’t seen him around since our meeting so he may be off finding someone to bring home now.' Ameira smiled and relaxed, glad that her one true friend was interested in taking such a large role in the pack. She had initially given him a small role of Zeta, but now that position would be assigned to the nursemaid - something that most definitely would not fit him. But she had started him off so low because he - like Ameira herself - had a darker past and was a bit of a loner. She had not wanted to push him into a role or lay upon him responsibilities that he did not want or desire. "I believe that that is a good role for him, one that he will succeed in. And your audition process seems fair to me - I cannot imagine that he will have issues with it as he is kind and smart."

And then the subject changed when the lass asked about Titan's mate... And immediately Ameira regretted saying anything. His vocals lagged behind their normal set cadence, and he admitted that she may not return at all. A soft whine pulled from between her two lips and she extended out a paw, gently pushing it against his in an attempt to comfort him. 'Thank you for asking, though. If she ever does come back around I know you two would hit it off. She’s really got the most beautiful heart for others...' Ameira nodded and withdrew her paw, not wanting it to linger there too long. "I would love to meet her! If she had your heart, she must be something special."

Ameira glanced up and saw the grey sky above started to be dotted by tiny spots of white - no snow was forming yet, but it appeared that soon, winter would be here. "We should perhaps call everyone together and set about getting them more active, perhaps asking them to pick goals for themselves. Be it for a rank or personal growth... And then we could... Go out sometime." Lavendars swiveled up to Titan and she laughed a bit nervously and glanced away. "I mean the pack. Not... Not us." She shook her head and fell silent, not knowing what else to say. The two alphas were amicable enough and agreed on how to rule the pack, but they hardly knew each other at all. Secrets were held from one another... But for now it worked.

"Shall we... Shall we pull everyone together now?"
