Latest details on 2nd Annual CT-FL Championships Posted on August 18, 2016 at 01:48:30 PM by Jeff "Laca" Conway
Here are the latest details on the 2nd Annual CT-FL Amateur Championships to be played only in Connecticut this year.
So far the following have registered:
We have not heard from Castanos or Anthony who made the exciting trip last year on whether they are going or not. New to the list are Belota and Eric L. Belota is contemplating playing for Team Connecticut which has surprised some of our players here because he is an active player on our roster now and the fact that Team Connecticut already has 35 players up there vs. our little group of 7 at the moment. Eric L is planning on coming, but has not officially booked his trip yet.
Not having Castanos or Anthony on the team will be disappointing and we are hoping they can make the trip.
We have not heard from Matt/Chip who still have not repaid Laca for the trip he booked for them last year. The voucher for the plane trip is still good with Southwest and will go to waste unless Matt himself uses it.
Most players flying out of Tampa have their flights booked.
Thursday October 20 Flight 2590 Southwest leaves 10:45am and arrives l:25pm. We plan on going straight to Jai-alai Heaven again that afternoon.
Coming back has some players on the Sunday JetBlue Flight 533 that leaves at 12:08pm and arrives Tampa 3:06pm. Scott King is taking a Southwest Flight that Sunday and returning to Tampa 1pm. Laca is coming back Monday on the 12:08pm JetBlue flight after spending the rest of the weekend at his brothers winter home near Foxwoods. The group is also planning on visiting Foxwoods - the worlds largest casino Saturday evening. Last year, we had a visit to Mohegan Sun Casino and had a great time.
There will be no tournament action in Florida, however Matt and Carlo will be down here Thursday November 3-Sunday the 6th, and regular NJAA action will be held Thursday and Friday early afternoons and Saturday late morning the 5th.
