The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.
All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.
Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

_________________________________________________________________________ Lanky limbs carried the form of the skinny teen through the trees. He had adjusted to his new life in Abendrot with Halina pretty well. Even though the teen had not spent too much time with the female as of yet, he knew that as he aged there would be more and more trainings with her. When he had first come here he was a pup, one that shouldn’t have been able to survive on his own, but he had found ways. The male was tough after the attack that had happened on his family that had almost taken his life. Lupin did not think that he would join another pack, but with how Halina was and how she described Abendrot he didn’t mind. The reason that he had said yes to staying with Halina and training under her was because she was not interested in becoming his mother, she understood that he did not need someone to take care of him. But they both knew that he could benefit from training under her rather than if he was completely alone. And now the teen had been in this pack long enough to attend his second pack meeting. It had seemed to be more eventful than the last one with the joining of two siblings who seemed to cause a stir, but not in a bad way. Even though the brute had been silent throughout the meeting he watched everyone. Other than the two new brother sister pair he recognized all the other vargs that had gathered. The one who seemed most different was Macaria. Last time she had been here she was afraid of everything that moved, but now she was different. She was confident and unafraid. Noone else seemed to changed, though he did see that others were also curious about the change in Macaria. All the normal things that he assumed went on at a pack meeting went on, ranks were given out, news was shared that needed to be shared. Halina was still beta and she offered to lead a training session. And then Lupin heard a familiar call ring through the trees that he could only assume was to start the training session. Halina’s vocals were crisp and clear through the air and the young brute decided that he should join in. Paws carried him through the trees that were becoming more and more familiar as time went on. Once he had reached the spot where Halina and Ygritte were green orbs looked around to take in where they were. He would have to pay attention to watch what he was doing in this area. The lighting wasn’t good and the footing wasn’t great but it would be a good place to train so as not to make it too easy.
