Responding to feedback from another player (who sent it to me privately), I've switched up some of the names of the boxes. They now read Speed post/Normal post/+Normal/Personal best instead of Weaker/Average/Better/Best. I didn't really like the negative connotations with "weaker" much, and I want to make it explicit that people can speed thread on this board :3
The player's other suggestion was to have the prize system based around word counts. So have a base word count (like 500 words) that you have to reach in order to get the basic prizes, and then you can get additional prizes for writing more words on top of that. So something like...
1 prompt Base word count: 500 words. Base prize: 300$
For every additional 200 words on top of that you can get another 100$
2 prompts Base word count: 500 words per prompt. Base prize: 600$
For every additional 200 words on top of that you get another 100$
