He accepted her challenge! With a little yip the girl jumped to her paws and ran in a circle on her rock. The space was entirely too small so she jumped to the ground and ran her circles around Tychon instead. With every step in the water the splashes was exaggeratedly big and her giggling laughter pealed through the air! Victor of the debate or not, she had some small win already and she would cherish it in her heart. Eager for their discussion, she sat in front of Tychon, peering up at him with her shining lilac eyes, a grin on her face, and her tail going crazy in the shallow waters of the stream. All of her excess energy was being expelled through the motions of her banner. After all, to enter a debate one actually had to sit still for a moment to listen and to speak.
My name is Masque! I am the daughter of the fairy queen, Taika! With a wider grin, she bowed her head respectfully to him, still completely unaware of his negativity towards her. What do I call you, good sir? Head teeter-tottered back and forth and big ears flapped with each movement as she studied him, waiting for a name to which she could call him. Even as she waited she was trying to think of who or what he could be. Was he a prince from a far off land? A knight come to slay evil beasts! Was he a cursed son who had lost his way? What if the cruel spirits of the world had been trying to steal his soul, and that was why he did not believe in magic? Her face fell with concern in the fabricated story she was letting herself race down. Unaware that she had very probably jumped too far ahead in their conversation, she voiced whatever sentence chose to be spoken. Why don’t you believe in magic? Did evil try to blind you? Or was it other pipsqueaks? That was what he had called her. She could easily imagine other hers up to no good and trying to do this as a not very nice prank. Much like Tepi did to Teza.
