Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

A SLEEPLESS malice as black as the oncoming wall of night
So it ever was. So will it always be. Such is the nature of evil.

A call? For him?

The darkness of night has crept across the world, expunged by the glare of the white snow against the shadows. He hates the snow. It ruins a perfectly good night and it dampens the paws. His coat has grown shaggy and further unkempt with burrs nestled into the coarse fibers and dirt lodged deep. It was likely he would not bath again until spring, although it depended simply on the thought of doing so and his desires. He lay nestled against Paravana. The touch of others he loathed and yet he craved her with some strange satisfaction, her scent coated with his own and her belly swollen with the pups that had been placed there.

It was not to say that he looked forward to them for he most definitely did not. Among the many things he hated pups were among them. Yet they were from him and Paravana and he had been insatiable and unable to contain his desires this winter. The moment of weakness with Sarabi had sent him into a spiral of self hatred as well as blame. She had done this to him, caused him to veer from his course, and the god within him unfurled in silent chastisement. It dug talons into his liver and squeeze and the pain in his gut served a reminder to focus.

Still, her howl awakens him and his silver ears flick forward, lips rising to reveal yellowed fangs as he silently rises and leaves his den, hackles raised. Sarabi was his and yet she was a shadowy reminder of his sins. He wanted to kill her but he couldn't; she was one of HIS things. Like Paravana and like Eden (although he feels more that he is Eden's than Eden is his).

The moment those eerie eyes spy her he knows. He can see it in the jut of her stomach and the scent of her fur. It causes him to snarl and to stop abruptly a distance from her, glaring and furious. Ears press back, fur rises along his spine. Tail stiffens. "They will not live to see their first dawn." It is a promise, not a threat.

For he could not abide such abominations to exist.
