Things within Aurora Borealis were quiet and easy going now. Even though Chenzii was dealing with her own personal issues, losing her adopted young and her best friend was hard to cope with, but having the support system that Aurora offered was more than enough to keep her going. And after an embarrassing moment of letting a stranger see her in a vulnerable state not too long ago, she was more in check with herself, even if she thought it was just her and a close friend. But for just a moment it was just her and Kal at the borders. He had called to the pack, but it was not the demanding call of a pack meeting, it was more casual this time. But as the Beta, Chenzii felt compelled to answer. As she approached her friend, he rose, greeting her as she did him. Kal spoke of his pups, and she loved the way that he got excited to share tales about them. With a smile she spoke, ”I am glad that they keep each other safe. Two was enough for me as well. I will have to pay them a visit soon.” It was not long before Kalgalath’s mate, Sebring, Queen of Aurora to join them. She greeted her mate first before turning to the midnight colored femme, “It’s good to see you again Chenzii, how’ve you been doing?” She smiled at the queen warmly as she answered, ”I’m doing better. I hope you have been well.” There was not much time for the three friends to chat as they were joined by a fourth. Chenzii’s yellow orbs widened is shock as she saw the female that was approaching them. She recognized Blayre, Kal’s adopted daughter who had disappeared a while ago. She had not been back since Sebring joined Aurora and she was unsure how this would go. The Queen was a kind wolf, and Chenzii did not expect her to be upset, but one could never know what would happen. The female stayed back a bit, sitting off away from the group. Kal approached his daughter though, and from his response he must have known that she was back. Sebring seemed surprise but not unhappy by Kal’s other daughter’s appearance. And then Vladmir joined them, seemingly baffled by his father’s affection for Blayre. Chenzii laughed at the outburst as Kal explained the situation to the younger male, who got more excited once he understood that he had another potential playmate.
The group was growing as they were joined by Jorah. Chenzii had not had much time to interact with the new male as of late, so she knew little about him. But the way that he greeted Blayre made her wonder about him. He approached her, and she gave him a smile in greeting as she would any other. His words though, made her unsure of him even more. "It is nice to see you, again Chenzii. Did you know Blayre when she was here before? I met her when she first came back but I have not had a chance to speak with her much. And, if I may be so bold, how is Gwaine?" What was he implying about her and Gwaine? The other male was nice and they had been friendly with each other, but she had given him a tour and helped him find a den. Chenzii didn’t like what she was insinuating about them, not that she didn’t like Gwaine. But they were friends. Her form stiffened a bit, wondering how Jorah knew that she had helped the other male, only Kal had been around then. Gwaine walked in before she had a chance to answer, and she felt herself feel different just by his presence. “I am quite well Jorah. How are you?” The female spoke up, answering Jorah’s other question, and asking one of her own. ”Yes, I knew Blayre before. I’ve lived in Aurora for a long time. How you knew I was with Gwaine, I do not know as you were not there unless you have felt the need to spy secretly on your packmates?” She may be coming off too strong and harshly, but if he had seen them why did he not say hello? Aurora was not a pack filled with secrets and spies, they were all family here. The thought that one of their own was that secretive made her uncomfortable, but maybe his ways were just different and she felt bad for being so rude. ”I’m sorry to be rude. I just find it odd that you would know about Gwaine and I’s time together when we were unaware of your presence.” Chenzii’s insides felt warm and fuzzy as Gwaine approached her, and she smiled brightly at him as he sat down beside her. “How have you been Chenzii?” Unconsciously, the female inched closer to Gwaine and further away from Jorah. ”I have been well, Gwaine. I hope you have been too?”
The group grew even larger as Seraphina joined them. Chenzii had never interacted with the young female personally, but she had learned that she was from Bright Moon and friends with Vladmir and Castiel. Joker then came along with two females that Chenzii did not know yet. She watched the three with interest, unsure of their situation, but smiling in greeting. And then Castiel bound in to join his brother and to meet his half-sister. He was just as outgoing as the female had remembered him to be. Seeing the playful, happy young vargs made her miss Vita and Mortem, but she did not let it show to those that were around her. More had come to the alpha’s call than she thought would have, but she waited patiently to see what it was that the group would be doing today. Still aware of the male’s presence that was next to her, hoping that she would not make a fool of herself around him as she had done when they first met.
"We were never meant to last," She whispers.
