I am the hand of God. I am the dark messiah. I am the vengeful one.
Darkness. Darkness cooled her. The Darkness soothed her. Darkness meant safety. Darkness meant comfort. She loved darkness, thrived in it, and wished it could stay dark forever. The caverns within the Grotto was perfect. It was cool, the tunnels provided a comfortable enclosure that truly didn’t make her feel as if she were trapped. Hardly was there a chance that the annoying light would come and grace its unwanted presence along her dark form. One day she would figure out how to destroy the light, yes, yes destroy it. One day she would bring the blazing bright ball in the sky fall, and she would replace it with the silver orb that did not ache her eyes or warm her hide.
Today she was happily taking a stroll within the caverns, weaving about, her black paws barely making a sound. Sickening emerald eyes were the only things that could be seen in the pitch blackness of the tunnel of cave she was wandering in. Her mind was blank. She was not searching for food or water. She was not moving to get away from anyone or even move on to find someone. She just walks mindlessly content to roam within the peace and quiet. She wished Pretty Rhett was here with her, but he was doing something else with Brother, and she was content to travel on her own...even if she did not like him so far away from her. He was hers and that meant his presence was always to be at hers. Yet she was willing to permit him to be away from her, now that he was with Brother.
It was the sound of the helpless howl that caused the demonic creature to halt for a moment. Her eyes would blink for a moment, her dial turning side to side, her black ears pricking forward with interest. She knows howls are meant for communication and this one seemed distressed. Why? Curious she followed the tunnel that would eventually lead her to the opening. Carefully she peaks her head through to see a multi-colored she-wolf. She would sit herself calmly down, her dial twisting like a mental rag dog, as those eerily reptilian green eyes stare at the other, without blinking, her black lips pulling back to reveal sharp deadly teeth, in her attempt at a friendly grin, and yet it looked like a ghastly smile.
