ALiSTAiR
tavioran diplomat - moonstone's soul - no heart

He was surprised with how much she had grown- she towered over him now, but it didn't bother him too much. Many wolves towered over him, but he had learned to not be intimidated by size. A small wolf could be just as deadly as a large one, and not all large wolves used their size for violence. His tail gave a small wag and he almost smiled as her face seemed to light up as he said her name. Moonstone, he thought it a beautiful name- and though he couldn't hear it, the vibrations in his throat when he spoke it were enough to derive pleasure from. It rolled off the tongue for him and it had since the beginning- it was almost as if through their connection, he had learned how to pronounce her name perfectly- which was something else, considering names proved to be the hardest to learn.

'I would never dislike a visit from you, Alistair.' Moonstone's words cause his own face to light up, no easy feat considering his proclivity towards a monotonous voice and expression. "Perhaps I should make them more frequent, then." It wasn't a teasing remark, it was simply a remark, as the male couldn't be capable of teasing- or even humor in general- if he tried. It was simply too hard for him to grasp the nuances that went into a humorous statement or joke. Laughter, even, came out more as a harsh barking sound- and the strange looks he received when he tried were more than enough to discourage him from the practice.

It was easy to read her lips, perhaps because of their bond, or perhaps she cared to enunciate her words when they were together. And so Alistair had no problem understanding what it was she had to say. 'I’m happy you came, I am sorry I haven’t come down to the forest to see you. Are you still working to be a diplomat for your pack?' Her apology was unnecessary, after all, wasn't it the male's job to... pursue? He wasn't well-versed in these things. Moonstone, after all, was still a bit young for his mind to stray towards more romantic notions- not that he was really quite capable of that yet. Yes, he was sure that he loved his parents and his siblings, but that was familial. Alistair wasn't sure what he felt for his soul, not yet, anyway, but he knew that he cared about her.

Alistair tilted his head slightly. "There is no need for an apology." He went on the answer her question, intending to follow it up with a question about what she was up to- young, but not too young as to not consider what she might want to do. "I must meet with Hyrule, the new alpha, to discuss my potential role in the pack. I have been... remiss in seeking him out." Alistair admitted, almost bashfully. "Hyrule assumed control of the pack after Amoxtli was poisoned. It seemed to be an assassination attempt, although at the moment, there is no lead on a perpetrator." He furrowed his brows slightly. The problem of the poisoning was a complex one, and he had spent many nights mulling it over- Taviora had no enemies, unless resentment against the forest pack had been secretly brewing, so it seemed to have been a rogue agent.

"And you, Moonstone. What are you inclined towards." The inflection of the last words were adjusted slightly, not quite enough to be noticeable- but he was working on making his questions sound like questions, not statements.
