Sources: N. Miami Amateur Jai-alai to shut doors in a couple of months

Multiple sources have confirmed to the NJAA that N. Miami Amateur Jai-alai, a fixture for decades, will be closing it's door in a couple of months.

The sad news would leave Puryear Park as the last amateur court in the state of Florida.

Thousands of players have learned to play there over the past 40 years or so and many turned pro, including some of the greatest players ever.

The shocking news is that the investor is going to stop funding the operation in a couple of months and that will be the end of it. Less than half the place had remained open, as the large court to the left was sealed of many years ago and used for other purposes.

Hopefully this is only a false rumor or the investor will change his mind.
