Confusion was starting to take hold of every part of her. Golden fur bristled and flattened, ears twisted in every direction, and soft whines were emitted from her lips. Her eyes were glazed over, the blow to her head starting to completely steal away her vision. Cold and conflict wrecked her body with shivers. Even as she tried desperately to make her way down the path she thought was correct her twisted limb refused to carry her weight. Everything came together to force her to stop and listen to the words Ame was saying.
Solstice looked at him through her foggy two-toned eyes. She tried to focus on him, her heart sinking when his stunning blue eyes appeared four or five times in her sights. She could not find her friend, she could not find her home, she could not even find her feet or see normally. At last she lowered herself to the ground, body still shivering.
I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what happened. Her ears fell flat against her skull. Eyes closed to rest them, hopefully refocus them when they did not need to see. Taking deep breathes, Solstice tried to calm down and let herself trust in this wolf who had found her. So much had happened in so little time, she was not sure she could handle it anything else were to befall them. Fate seems to have twisted her to this, she could only believe that fate would take care of her once again. If she thought about it too much, she would surely lose her way more than she had already.
Her whimpers stopped. Being careful to use her limb as little as possible, she shuffled closer to Ame. That was one thing she knew. He was warm, she was cold. Burried in his far she could prettend this wasn’t happening.
