At Oswin's question, Inka's dark face slackened in surprise. "Yes, I've visited the prairie many times over the years. The last time I was there was... about two years ago, I believe." The Friesian mare tilted her head and glanced skyward, searching her memory. The occasion she remembered was the day they had searched for and failed to find Valentine - or, at least, Jetta had gone off to look for him while Inka rested with Adelheid and Diamant. She did faintly remember a few horses coming to greet them - two young mares and a colt. And the longer Inka thought about it, the clearer her mental image of Oswin and Calder became. She never forgot a face, after all.

"You're right!" she exclaimed happily, flashing a bright smile at the petite young mare mare before her. "We met that day, you and your brother. You met two of Jetta's siblings that day, as well. And one of Valentine's other daughters was there." She chuckled and tossed her forelock out of her eyes. "Goodness, what a small world. Or at least it seems small when we have such a big family running around." Inka sighed heavily and regarded Oswin with a friendly expression, then continued with several rapid-fire questions that revealed her intense interest. "So, how are you liking the Peak? Did Jetta show you around? Have you met Impazienza yet?"
