Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

What a cat and mouse game we had going on. To be honest, I didn't like it, not one bit! The male was larger than me and considerably stronger. I was a tracker extraordinaire , not a fighter and I had not once told Aithne that I would fight him to get him back. No. I said I would find him and I did. Trying to herd him back to Iromar was another task altogether but I would give it a go. I guess I shouldn't feel so surprised that the male isn't keen on the idea or an easy target. After all, he was a known criminal, so where did I get the notion that he would just.. go?

I can hear his snarls as we circle back on one another even if I can't see him. I can smell him too, his acrid scent burning my nostrils as I follow, hackles raised and speaking threats to the air. The moment that he gives up and takes off like a rocket is the moment that I feel a bit of glorious pride at myself. I guess my threats worked!

He might be larger but I am damn sure quicker. I assured myself of this fact as I take off after him, slender legs propelling me forward through the vegetation. I leap over upturned roots and close my eyes as I burst through some overgrown ferns, coming out in time to see his dark figure. I was closing in fast and I let out a warning bark, attempting to startle him into stopping or tripping.. or something.

"Stop! On the order of Iromar, you are hereby ordered to make way to Iromar!" My voice is breathless but I don't waste this moment. I speak firmly and haughtily, as is my right as a hired tracker of course, and if the male doesn't stop then I would be brave enough to race up and try to nudge him in the right direction. Aithne sure owed me.
