Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Absolutely unbelievable! She hadn't recoiled away from him nearly as fast as he had expected! Jackdaw would be so jealous. He'd done it. He'd saved a beautiful lady and then gotten a kiss. Hah! Really, he had it made. Then, there was the issue of the snow. He'd practically forgotten it until she had pulled away and with her, all the warmth in the world seemed to go. Suddenly, he'd become aware of the snow once more; it fell and hard at that, and damn, his feet had gotten cold! He could practically feel the snow on his skin despite how thick it'd grown in the winter months. Urgh! Why did it have to ruin this moment? Though, it wasn't entirely ruined. Even behind all the wind, he'd hear that giggle several thousand miles away. Like a cardinal on a fine spring day, he nodded to himself. Yes, it was something akin to that. Better, though.

But! Her paw! Yes! That was urgent, as was ensuring she'd never have to rest her delicate, lovely paws on the dirty earth again. So, he'd been quick to do his best to take her weight for her. Feeling her against him made the struggle so worth it and in a flash, he felt warm again as they began their slow journey towards...where? "I'm sure you are many things but a bother? Hah! Certainly not!" It was hard to sound jovial with all the wind and, you know, all the crappy snow but by damn he tried! "As for us? We're heading to the trees! I know a place, a great place, and we'll patch you right up!" He puffed his chest again, taking a gust of wind as an excuse to lean into her more and curl his neck around her so that his muzzle might press into her neck.

It'd take them a short while to get there but when they did, he still kept close. Just by the tree line, a tree had fallen likely from the storm. Beneath it, however, had been a dip in the dirt and now, the tree had created a makeshift ledge. In essence, it had become a lovely little cave of sorts, earthy and warm despite the storm. Snow had piled up around it and yet, Israfel did not hold back in ploughing through it before tending to Samia once more. He lead her in with a sweep of his muzzle - welcome home! - and had immediately taken to getting her comfortable. As his makeshift home, he had already placed feathers about as insulation, a warm pile in the furtherest reaches where roots had reached down. Dark as it might have been, he was sure she'd find it charming! Endearing, even.

"Are you warm enough?" He inquired instantly, stepping aside towards the mouth of the cave and poking his head out - surely he could find something to keep her warmer if he had to. "And those herbs!" He startled himself with the idea, retreating back down into the cave, a little embarassed about being so close but...not close enough. "Healing stuff, right? Well, whaddya' need? I'll go get it! Have to, you know, make sure your paw doesn't hurt before I take you home..." though, he really preferred the idea of her just...staying there...forever, maybe.
