don't look for me cause i'm too far gone...
He appreciated her touch. Only really she and Yin and his children could do it anymore. Anyone else did he would prickle up instinctively. After all most touch he had other than their own had been hurting him. He still did his job well. When working it was different, he could take everything else aside and just engulf himself in healing and working with the herbs… and poisons. Never again would someone get so close to him and his family without suffering the consequences and really that Roman wolf was next on his list if it came down to it… Still he appreciated it. Meryl knew things were so rough for her when she didn’t have her home, he wondered how much longer she would rule, but she was hardly old yet. Especially in comparison to some of the older alpha’s of Moladion. She still had time with her, but he wished that sometime someone would take her place on the battle grounds and give her some rest. She had far too many scars for his liking.
He explained to her their own tidings, he was worried about the silence that was in Diveen, yet with Spring and Summer usually new life spurred the old to get moving. Winter always was a time where couples stirred and everyone else hung back. He couldn’t lie, he spent his winter in the comfort of Yin and keeping warm and away from the cold of snow. He had enough cold for a life time that one winter he spent in the wilderness of Moladion versus the comfort of Diveen. He nodded when he informed her that he brother soon was to be a father. A smile crossed his maw at her enthusiasm too, pleased that she was so happy for her sibling despite the distance that was now between them and more so knowing he too was now king.
”As if Spirane and Diveen needed more reasons to be closer to one another.” He said with a chuckle,
”I am sure they both would love that.” He tells her, making a mental note to be sure to tell Solara of Daenerys’ potential visit.
He looked back towards the direction of his home, so much had changed everywhere but especially there. It just seemed to calm down so much more since Covet had hurt them as he had. Meryl blamed him for the damage to Diveen from the bottom of his heart he did. Things were fine and then he had to come mess everything up for them all. His gaze shifted to the children, happy as always that they could mingle together here so peacefully, if nowhere else. She began to tell him how things were in Spirane and a frown creased his maw at her concerns. She was right after all, at any moment peace could be disturbed anywhere. When her head turned to look at him he met her gaze looking tired and worn but interested regardless in what she had to say about her home.
”I fear it’s the same in Diveen. The higher ranks are filled, Maddox still acts as our Advisor from Achilles and Isola’s reign, but many of the ranks below remained unfilled. I am not sure if the younger generation is simply not as spurred to specialize or if they simply do not believe they are good enough. I have tried to encourage Yin to be our puppy caregiver I know she would be a natural if she would just tell Solara and give it a chance.” He says smiling warmly. Yin was a wonderful mother, and wonderful with children. She would be a great caregiver and puppy sitter for any pup in Diveen. Perhaps it is that though, it is hard to approach the alpha? But He never thought of Daenerys as unapproachable. Solara… perhaps, but definitely not Daenrys.
