Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The boy continued to glance around, worry beginning to creep into his heart. He hadn't been gone too long, surely things hadn't changed too much. He was about to give up and look elsewhere until the sound of sprinting pawsteps, and an ecstatic bark, caught his attention. Zephyr barely had time to turn before his sister essentially crashed into him- he was stunned for a moment, but it quickly faded into brilliant happiness. He laughed, her enthusiasm infectious- his tail was wagging nearly as fast as hers. "Samia, I've missed you." He said, a grin spreading wide across his grey-speckled maw. He licked and groomed and ran his body along hers, feeling like a little pup once more- all squirming and playful.

After a moment, Zephyr pulled back, but the grin was still spread wide across his face. He hadn't expected his heart to feel so lifted at the sight of his sister- her eyes lined with black, her floppy ear, her silken and perfectly white coat. He had missed her so. They had been so close as pups, and he felt another pang of guilt at leaving her behind to take some pointless adventure into the lands beyond. But he didn't want this reunion to be full of apologies- the boy knew that his presence here was enough to make it up to her.

"I'll have to tell you all about what I saw when I was away." He puffed out his chest slightly, eyes narrowing slightly, giving him an air of confidence and bravado. "I fought a bear, you know." Well, he hadn't actually fought a bear- but what Samia didn't know couldn't hurt her. It was more like the bear had grown tired of running around in circles trying to chase him, and had simply lumbered off, leaving its kill behind. A win for sure, as far as Zephyr was concerned.

But there was something that kept nagging at him. The lack of the scents of any of his other family members that lived here, his parents, and his younger sisters. It wasn't as if they were old, they simply had disappeared- as if they hadn't been here for quite some time. "But sister... where are Mom and Dad? And Medea, and Feather, and Tiamat?" Zephyr knew that his older sister and brothers had long since taken their own path, his brothers in Taviora, and his older sister in Diveen. "Did they leave Glorall? Did they go to Taviora, or somewhere else?" He tilted his head slightly, certainly not expecting the answer that was coming.
