The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.
All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.
Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

_________________________________________________________________________ The red wolf anticipated an attack from the other female. This was the first time that the two lovers had come at each other in this way. Normally their interactions were flirtatious and sexual, but now they were violent. Though it was not true violence, it was faked, but it was still fun. It had been a while since Ygritte had sparred with anyone, and it was something she had missed doing. A smile was on her features when Halina made her first move. She had never seen her mate in action in this sense, so she had to learn her fighting style. If it was a situation where she may have actually gotten hurt she would not have risked taking the attack full on, but since Halina would not cause her real harm, she could this time around. And then Halina was on top of Ygritte, something that was not new to the female. She squirmed away though, avoiding the dark female’s attack that would have been fatal in a real fight, and she felt Halina’s grip loosen as she pulled away, something that would never happen in a real fight. The russet colored femme moved quickly to get out of Halina’s grasp, causing the other female to lose her balance and end up on the ground on her back. Normally this would be an easy way to go in for her vulnerable area and cause a deadly blow, but that was not the goal for today. Halina was just getting to her paws when Ygritte struck. Her skinny but muscular form leapt at the larger female, and managed to get her back to the ground but on her stomach instead of her back this time. It was a much more favorable position for Halina. Ygritte heard her mate growl, but she knew her well enough to know it was not a real threatening or angry one, and a smile rose to the female’s kissers once more. The two were teaching the young male valuable lessons while having fun at the same time. Ygritte’s teeth went into Halina’s scruff just as the other female’s cranium came up sharply to meet her. The force was enough to cause Ygritte to bite her tongue hard enough to draw blood, and she was forced to release her grip, allowing Halina to get onto her back and use her limbs underneath Ygritte to throw the smaller female off. The female ended up landing on her side from the force of Halina’s limbs kicking out at her. With a growl of her own, and a small spot of blood falling between her teeth onto her muzzle, she got to her paws quickly once more, if she was able to before Halina’s form made its way back on top of her. She attempted to quickly lunge at the other female again, hoping she was fast enough to knock her down and aim for a deadly blow this time, either at her jugular or another exposed area if there was one. OOC: I figure if we want to get Lupin involved they can finish their spar in the next post or two. Feel free to god-mode if you want to get there and then I can post Lupin and he can spar with Halina or however you wanted to do it ________________________________________________________________________ |
