Listener Gathering in London next Saturday (29th October) IP: 184.108.40.206 Posted on October 23, 2016 at 06:56:41 PM by Phil Lloyd
We’ll be meeting again this coming Saturday, 29th October, from about midday onwards, following our pattern of the last Saturdays in January, April, July and October. BUT PLEASE NOTE: Due to the temporary closure of the Metropolitan Bar for refurbishment, we will be meeting at a different pub this time.
This is another Wetherspoons pub: The Sir John Oldcastle, 29–35 Farringdon Road, Farringdon. It’s at the junction of Farringdon Road and Greville Street, a short walk from Farringdon Station, along Cowcross Street. Apart from overground services, the station is on the Metropolitan, Circle, and Hammersmith & City lines.
If you fancy a bit of crossword chat over a drink, we’d love to see you. And the usual Wetherspoons fare will be available if you need a bite to eat. As we haven’t met here before, we’re not sure exactly where we’ll be in the pub, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for new arrivals! There is no official “end time” to these gatherings - please don’t arrive too late in the day. We expect there will be the usual mix of solvers, setters, editors and others closely associated with the world of thematic cryptics.
If you’d like to be on the email reminder list, just let me know.
