Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Did she find what she had been looking for in Spirane? Her arrival here makes me think that she might not have - or, in any case, she had began to hunger for something else. After all, I doubted a stolen bush of herbs would satisfy anybody for long, let alone a wolf with such a cunning air. Wolves like her, I believed, were few and far between. Though she might have had an ulterior motive as she stood upon the borders, I would be the first to admit that such a thing had bloomed within me too: Glorall could do with a wolf such as herself, healthy and with that air of something else. Or, I could do with a wolf such as that at least. Glorall and I were not always one entity, just as Arcturus had been mine before he had come to Glorall.

I cannot help but mirror her smirk when she speaks then; flattery, hm? I hadn't expected anything else. As for my silence? She had hardly to thank me and yet, her question is one that makes me ponder for a moment. She has come to pay me back, is it? I had hardly expected to be offered such a thing. In fact, I had expected that I would sit upon the information for years before calling it to use. I am fine with this arrangement though. If anything, it is certainly more interesting.

With a lazy step, I close the distance between us slightly, my head tilting as I observe her closely once more. Flattery, I suppose, or at least something in return for her own. "I'm curious to know what a wolf like yourself might believe to be interesting for a wolf like me," I shrug, but I am quick to continue, "don't you think all alphas appreciate things such as honesty? Loyalty? What else could there be?" I know she will know it is all a bluff. After all, would such an honorable alpha have stayed quiet as she stole away in the mountains? But I like to play and I have a feeling she will play right back. "What else could a wolf like you have?" For a moment, I loiter over her and then, with another smirk, I step back to my previous position, relaxing my posture somewhat as I feel a brow creep up in mischief.
