Re(1): John You Went Too Far This Time

Ted,I noticed that Rainbo single was released on Roulette Records, which was owned by Morris Levy, who had ties to the Mob. Tommy James' autobiography was rather interesting about his dealings w/Mr. Levy. There was another link to John Lennon several years later when John agreed to cover some Chuck Berry songs for Mr. Levy (who owned the publishing) in return for nicking a line from "You Can't Catch Me" for "Come Together". Levy somehow got a hold of the Rock and Roll session tapes & put them out under the Adam VIII label as one of those TV sales specials which caused much grief for John & EMI/Capitol
