aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Test My Will, Test My Heart

The femme was happy to see so much of her family. It had been far too long since they had all gathered together, and there were too many vargs that she had not yet met. A part of her kept hoping that Aindreas would show up, not having seen him in a long time, and Sin could benefit from seeing his father. The young brute wasn’t as outgoing as the other young ones there, but maybe that was because they had been raised differently. It was not fair to Sin that both his mother and father had disappeared, and perhaps that was why he was so quiet and to himself. And Adara should have been there for him when Aindreas left, but she had not been. Instead she had been off on her own adventures with a random male that she had met. How could she think that it was a better idea to stay with him than to go back to her family? She would make sure to be more present for them, especially Sin, from now on, though she could not change her mistakes from the past.

Adara approached the female who she had just discovered to be her aunt, a friendly smile on her features. It seemed that she was not the only one that needed to reconnect with family. "Your mother, she was lovely. It is nice to finally meet you as well. And you two as well. I am your Aunt Uriel I suppose now. I came looking for my brother, I never expected to have one, let alone three nieces and nephews before me." Her words also spoke to Vladmir and Castiel. The youngest ones in the family were meeting a lot of their family today, but they seemed excited about it. She just wished Sin would have some fun too, guilt returning to her once more. Her blue gaze turned back to Sin after she had greeted Uriel, padding back over to the young male. She spoke quietly, the words for his ears only now, ”Sin, I’m sorry I have been so absent in your life. I should have been around for you more, especially since it seems your father has not been present. I hope you will allow me to make up for it.” It seemed that Adara was always absent in important times. She had not been there to grow up with her brother Aindreas, and she hadn’t been there for her nephew when he needed her most.

After speaking with Sin, giving her father a few moments with his sister, she approached him, a smile on her kissers once more. It seemed that fatherhood was treating him well. "Surprisingly, no. They are more well behaved than I expected, though for good reason - they are best friends but polar opposites and thus take care of one another. Vladimir is stubborn, proud, brave and strong - a natural leader. What he lacks, Castiel excels in - wisdom, humbleness, speed. They are very loyal to one another and are tied together by their friend, Seraphina. I only wish I had been able to know you when you were their age." Adara knew that she was not the only one here with regrets. But Kalgalath had not been given the opportunity to raise herself and her siblings, he had never been told of their birth. She held no ill will against him for not being there when she grew up once she understood what had really happened. ”You’re here for them now and that’s what matters.” She rubbed against her father affectionately, letting him know that there was nothing bad between them because of the past. ”You’ve been a great father to them, and to me.”

Adara saw her father approach Sin, and she hoped that the two would hit it off well. She listened in on their conversation, curious to know the answers to Kal’s questions, "I am glad you are doing well, Sin. Why are you not with your father? I have been worried about you all since Striker left Moondown Shadows. Tell me, where are you living now?" Her audettes also picked up on the conversation between Jorah and Uriel. The more that this stranger spoke, the more she disliked him. He was not their blood family, even though he was in Kalgalath’s family at Aurora, so why had he joined them? It was clear what his intentions were, and when her eyes met his briefly and he gave her a smile, she did not return it this time as she had before. Adara turned away, focusing back on what was going on with the interacting wolves. Her form moved to Vladmir and Castiel, wanting to get to know her half-siblings more. ”So, Vladmir, Castiel. What sorts of adventures have you guys found yourselves in at Aurora?”
