Fall had settled and with it much of the summers heat started to evacuate the land although this change wasn’t rapid she had felt the cool breeze flicking her fur telling her it was time to venture out once more despite the comfort of her companion she made her way from the grasslands before the sun had even risen to gaze across the horizon. Most of the summer days were spent with Thoth but just the same she knew she should venture to the valley to keep an eye on her family once more. Perhaps even her father at some point, for now, she would be collecting the debt she was owed and if refused, well she would take the life of the debtor.
It was quite obvious she was rapidly growing and despite much lounging throughout the summer months her muscles stayed toned for her prowling could happily be done when the moon had awoken. Broad paws sank into the soft earth she knew prey would be harder to come by yet she had grown quite skillful in regard to finding and returning with enough suitable food and the pack had seemed quiet so felt little need to over exert herself in the months it would take to stash enough food for herself and her own but without a doubt she would have a bountiful supply in the pack of mud and water.
Her nostrils flared and opalescent eyes glared; the trip had wasted much of the day but nightfall had become her greatest friend to cloak any business she had. She wasn’t too opposed to swimming but as the water grew cooler she would need a better way to wash the scent of her company off but for the time being the river would do. She knew better than to endanger her possessions because it meant too much extra work for her and yet she would see her enemies blood before any other laid into her own.
The moon had risen a guiding light but she wasn’t tired she needed no rest she wouldn’t wait till sunrise. Sekhmet pressed further into the moors carefully silent as it was one scent she needed any others would have the wisdom to mind their own. The woman scent was scattered throughout but her paws found the place that was freshest. She held little regard for laws for the way the woman scent was scattered she held a small margin of power and the life of such a woman between her jaws left an almost insatiable desire for blood not to mention the fact she can bargain the scrawny gray one for her exit if need be.
She leaped to the top of the mound a den it seemed but it was elevated enough got her to keep her eyes out for the debtor. She was bold but wasn’t foolish; she knew of the peace talks and information that was to be gathered but she held only her own scent now. No pack clung to her, no company. In these moments she was like her scent, alone with no other to accompany it. Ever mindful and watchful she waited patiently ready for the fight if needed and yet expected numbing words useless to her ears. No matter what showed its face she would wait and receive the payment she was assured.
