Oh how she envied the youth. The Monster of Asteraia did not bother to get up from her comfortable spot within the thick tall grass and underneath the bright golden sun. She knew she had to get up and make her rounds within the fields. It was a never ending job and one that she did fairly well. For the past few years the fields have been under her reign and she did all that she could for the wolves that chose to call these lands home. She was appreciative of their trust in her and she was willing to do all she could for them. After all they were her family now, and although she didn’t have one before, she was thankful to have one now. She was responsible for their well-being, including the children, and it would seem that young Alouette had managed to catch Tick Tock’s attention. Whether she was lucky to have it or not remained to be seen. Easily her dial lowered to rest between her paws, those older wiser eyes looking within the younger, hopeful gaze back up at her.
There were many things that Tick Tock could teach her, but where to start? She had a few things in mind. Thinking maybe the first thing to work on was the child’s gait or stance, but she also wanted to work on the child’s self-confidence and way of thinking. Though no matter what she worked on there were still many things to be done, and she wanted to teach the young pup a lesson first. It would be a good place to start, she thinks, and it would give her some time to figure something out. After all it wouldn’t be long until she would be allowed to retire from her positon, but that wasn’t going to happen any time soon. Her children were not ready, there was so much more that needed to be done, and she was determined to make sure her pack members remained well. She had done so much for them of so long and she was willing to continue to do it. Softly she speaks providing the child an important question.
“What do you want to start on?”
