The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

The past was not something that the brute thought about often. There were too many harsh memories that he had walked away from and didn’t want to relive. For a while he had been able to ignore his past and just focus on his future and the new wolf that he had become. But more and more from his past was coming up recently. It had caused problems with him and Macaria. HE knew about her past, he had taken her away from it actually, but she didn’t know much about his. Before she had changed she had tried to make conversation with him, to try and learn about him. Instead of talking to her however, he had shut down, had become unresponsive and often angry towards her even though it was not her fault at all. But before she had been too timid to speak up and against. That was not the case anymore. She had lashed out at him, blaming him for their lack of a relationship because he couldn’t open up and show emotion to her. And then Macaria had stormed off.

Grey Wind had been left alone to simmer with his anger and his thoughts. And now here was Daenerys, bringing up old wounds that he had shut long ago. Instead of letting himself feel the pain of his past, he let anger over take him. That was an easier emotion to deal with. The grey male paced back and forth, anger bristling his fur at the thought of those that had survived the war on his family. He had wanted to hunt them all down and take them out one by one. But the Lannisters’ had too big an army and one wolf could not take them down. But the Targaryen’s had not been involved in that war. He was sure that they knew what was going on, but that was when they were already dying out themselves. If they had participated then they may have been wiped out entirely as Tywin had wanted, so Grey Wind could understand why they had not been there. That was not their war to fight. The femme thanked him after he agreed to allowing for her and her pups to stay in Abendrot for protection. It may not have been their fight then, but Daenerys was making it her war now.

"I will do my best not to be of a burden and I can insure that my children and I will protect you when the time comes, seeing as you do the same. I think we have an important matter to discuss first. How many family members are living? We must discuss this with them." The uniquely marked female rose to her paws, shaking the dust out of her pelt with a smile on her features. Grey Wind was unsure of how to answer him. The male still did not know that all of his siblings had survived. He had only recently discovered that Mabbit was still alive and residing within his own pack. He had known for a while now that Summer was here as well, and had also found out about Lady’s death. What he did not yet know was that Nymeria and Ghost were also alive. Ghost was hiding in the shadows and Nymeria had made a new life for herself in another pack, but he had not yet run into them or heard of their whereabouts. ”Summer is alive and in another pack. Mabbit is here in Abendrot with me. Lady died a while back giving birth to her pups, who are in different packs now.” The male was straight forward and to the point. He gave her the information he had, but left out the fact that he didn’t know the exact status of Ghost and Nymeria. It was no secret how many Stark young there had been, so he was unsure if she would ask about them or not. He did not give any more information than exactly what she asked, he was not good at giving out information to those he didn’t fully trust, and there were very few in this world that he did fully trust. Despite their new alliance, he didn’t want to tell the female every single thought in his head.
