The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Inara
I can be your ray of light
but I might leave you blind

Summer had been overly hot but fall was grand perhaps winter would be just as bitter as summer but these in-between months are worth the callous. She hadn’t quite found herself for who really knows what to look for when no one knows themselves? Inara padded through the wood of Glorall lost in thought and perhaps sorrowful despite the inviting leaves and invigorating breeze calling her to be cheerful. Most would be pleased on a fine afternoon as this but perhaps she wasn’t meant to be one of those creatures.

The breeze caressed and intertwined themselves into her fur shimmering almost golden in the sunlight. She hardly had a sense of vanity for she rarely gazed at herself and perhaps with a doting mother or companion to call her such would cause her to grow as such but these things remained uncertain for she was alone. Yes, Inara knew she had a pack and even a sister still she couldn’t find reasons to stay and linger for too long even if she truly did desire companionship.

Her ear flicked back then forwards and twitched once more listening to the sounds of the world around her. Black-touched paws made their way to a place the trees grew sparse, rocks and cracks had scared this place she had found. She climbed over some of the larger ones and made swift work to avoid cracks that could catch her paws finding some kind of entrance not very far off. She was curious and yet she settled on her haunches peering and listening careful debating on if she should enter or not.
