Re(5): Listener No. 4422: Buried Treasure by Poat

Sadly I discounted highlighting the HARE in the preamble, not so much because of JEG 's grid cropping instructions -after all we have had the origami robin, and at least one puzzle already this year where the grid had to be cut up and reassembled - but because I tried highlighting HARE in the newspaper copy and found the print too small to highlight distinctly.
I had considered FTGH in the middle of LIFTGIRL/HERDEN as an acrostic of FIND THE GOLDEN HARE but discarded that because it meant highlighting one of a pair of letters in a cell, and there could have been alternatives for L/LIFT.
In the end I decided if you lifted LIFT you would be left with HARE in a straight line, consecutively, and highlighted the HA and RE.
Assuming no transcription errors earlier this year (always a dubious assumption for me) I would have just about reached 24 months of correct entries so I am disappointed, but to put a positive spin on it I won't have to obsessively check entries for the rest of the year.
