Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Vesper
It is triumph and despair,    wish and realization

Beneath his gaze I stand, waiting as he scrutinizes me, his eyes practically eating me up in a way that might make another squirm with unease. And though I do not feel so comfortable as he sizes me up in a new light, I do not feel as though I am in danger. I can sense it, or perhaps guess at it, the way he contemplates the meaning behind a daughter of the former hierarchy returning after all this time. The question he poses causes my toes to flex and grip at the sandy soil beneath my paws. "Iromar has never truly been home to me, and now that Praetor and Aithne have stepped down there is little that holds me there. Halcyon sends his regards." I dipped my head with the statement, proffering the name of the new alpha of the moors.

He is not left to consider what to make of me much longer, a decision seemingly made as he steps aside and opens a path for me into Glorall. My tail twitched at my hocks, the beginnings of joy warming my bodice as I easily deduced what choice he had made. Though I looked past him momentarily, seeing Glorall in the light which I had in my youth for the first time in the years since I had left, my violet gaze did return to Eden once more as he spoke. His words only echo what I already know - Glorall is my home. But it is affirmation that he has accepted my presence here; I move to step beside him as his body language invites me to do so. As I cross into Glorall it is as though the musty, stale odor of Iromar is cast away from me, but perhaps it is simply the rejuvenating seabreeze that gently ruffles my fur.

I am brought to look towards him once more at his words, brows furrowing slightly in something akin to offense. Briefly the thought crosses my mind - what example has Cersei set of our family, for him to suggest a thing such as this? Still, the look is fleeting and replaced by a coolness as I respond to his statement. "An idle mind is a short road to death, and I intend to live a long life." It is perhaps a suggestion of where my strengths lie, but it will take time for him to learn more about me, and me about him. As we move further into the familiar lands of our home, I am given to think that though things will be quite different here, I am okay with that.

ooc; we can end this here if you want. <3
