Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Tauriel
do not go

Her own coat was still damp from the swim over, the wetness giving definition to her fur, separating it into distinct portions that stuck out a little more than they normally would. When dry, her plush fur took on an almost silken nature, but after having been wet and then shaking out her own coat, it stuck out in tufts that were not altogether unbecoming. As he joined her upon the island, Tauriel noticed the way Ame's fur curled from being wet; an interesting trait she had not seen on other wolves before today. Though, spending much and more of her time alone, she didn't have many other wolves to compare wet fur with. In any case, she found it endearing, a unique feature of this kind wolf she had encountered.

Briefly their eyes met, but before long Ame's gaze wandered, and Tauriel let her own eyes drift to look around them at the small patch of paradise that was station at the center of the lake. It was certainly a nice place, a refuge that she continued to enjoy with each passing season. Once more she looked back to him, and the meeting of their gaze was fleeting as he returned her sentiments about their acquaintance. This time as he looked away he explained his own style of livelihood, and how it was mere happenstance that brought him to the lake at the same time as her. White rimmed ears of black were pricked forward, her attention given to him in full, at once interested in his explanation and also the way he referred to himself as 'This One.' It was a peculiar habit, and she was curious why he did it. However the topic seemed like it would be a more personal one, and though she was steadily gaining more self confidence the longer she spent time dependent upon only herself, such forthrightness was not something she had yet mastered. Personal questions such as those should be reserved for wolves that one knows, well, on a more personal level.

Ame's pale blue eyes returned to Tauriel's as a small smile quirked at the edges of her maw, appreciating his compliment of being happy to have met her. Though her self-assurance was a budding personality feature for her, she was still rather reserved and unsure of other's honesty. Even so, Ame seemed different from other wolves she had met - there was a genuineness to him that she had never encountered before. "When I can, I like to return here. Though when there is only a soft freeze of the lake, and again when it thaws in the spring, it is too dangerous to make the crossing," she answered. Blinking, she hesitated, unsure how much of herself she wanted to share with this male. "But I enjoy wandering as well - though I do not have so noble a cause to do it as you." Her tail swished back and forth on the ground as she found herself relaxing more and more in his company.
