At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

The female had been focused on her own thoughts, not paying attention to the world around her. Depending on where one was that could be a dangerous situation. The world was not always good and bad and evil things could be hiding in the shadows, waiting to pounce on those unaware. But overall, Blossom was a safe place to be. There were some packs that may not be as friendly as others, but most of them would welcome newcomers openly, not demanding much from them other than loyalty. But no place was perfect, and Chenzii was aware of this. Normally she would pay more attention to her surroundings, keeping an ear open to what was going on in the background. But today she was not, too busy thinking about the pasts. Thinking about things she hadn’t thought about in a while. The femme jumped when the male approached her, and she was glad to see who it was. It could have been different it had been a stranger meaning to do her harm. But Gwaine would never do anything bad to her, would he? She knew that he would not try to harm her physically, but did he realize that she was beginning to grow feelings for the male? To some it would seem to fast, but when someone special came into one’s life, they could catch your attention. And the male had certainly caught Chenzii’s attention.

The raven colored femme smiled at the male when she saw it was him, a hidden blush creeping up her form. It had been so long since she had had feelings for a male that she almost forgot what it was like. The male took a moment to answer her question, lapping at the cold water from the stream where she had broken through the ice. “Staying warm. I don’t suppose you have any suggestions, do you? You must be accustomed to the winter here, Chenzii.” The femme smiled, her thick black pelt was more than enough to keep her warm. She had been born in a place that snowed regularly, so it was viral for the vargs there to have the ability to keep themselves warm. She could answer him factually, tell him about lining his bedding with leaves and moss to keep in heat and keep him warm. But where was the fun in that? The two had flirted casually since their meeting, and she hoped that he might be attracted to her the way that she was attracted to him. ”Well, if you aren’t lucky enough to be born with a pelt as thick as mine to keep you warm, you just have to find someone who’s willing to be close enough to you to share.” She winked at him, knowing that he would understand the flirtations behind her words without being too forward. It had been a while since she had played this game with a male.

In return, the male used his paw to throw snow at her. The white flakes contrasted her black pelt as it littered her cranium. A playful growl escaped her throat, a grin on her features. Instead of just throwing the snow back at the male, she would use it to distract him for a different reason. The femme used the same move as him, trying to spatter the snow along him, as she leapt forward playfully. Plume wagging her behind her at the pup-like interactions between the two. She tried to push the male to the ground, gently of course though, not actually trying to start any real violence, but a playful scuffle instead. The male was no doubt strong, so she would try to catch him by surprise to catch him off guard, just like he had done to her when he first approached. The male brought out a side in her that she had not let out in a long time. Not since she had had the adopted pups, anyways. This male was bringing out a good side in her that hadn’t surfaced in some time.

"We were never meant to last," She whispers.
