No Deep Long Lasting Cold Yet IP: 126.96.36.199 Posted on November 27, 2016 at 08:05:17 PM by T
The beginning of last week we had our first good shot of winter with snowfall of 20-30" here in CNY.
The Tug Hill picked up more than 50" in some spots. Temperatures remained in the 30's for a few days.
But then we have had temperatures rise to the upper 30's to low 40's with some periods of rain and
fog, which has just about melted all of that snow.
So now when does winter take its next shot at us? No serious cold or snow is on the immediate horizon
for us in Upstate NY. We will actually have a couple of days in the 50's this week with more rain.
We do cool down for the end of the week and the weekend, but only to the low 40's. Over the next
week though, colder air will be pouring into Canada. We may get a few small pieces of colder air
to come in with some snow briefly. But through the middle of Decemeber, I am not expecting any
kind of prolonged winter events.
I do think toward the end of December and then into January we will see more of that long lasting
winter cold and snow. Replies: There have been no replies.
