Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It has been some time since I have heard from Raven. Am I surprised? Perhaps not. After all, I had not given her the answers she had hoped for those seasons ago when she had confessed with me her...peculiar desires. In any case, I have kept those desires a secret, a shared thing between the two of us I feel. Though, I do not think that is why she has come to find me this day; she seems pleased, happy even as she ambles towards me. I do not flinch at her sight but rather, I tilt my head, a little taken off guard by her sudden arrival. I had smelt her in the wind but I had not expected her to enter Glorall. We seldom get visitors, after all.

As she approaches, I motion to my flank, beckoning her to join me as I continue on my path towards the shores. I am checking the state of prey today, an important task that is...not all that exciting. Perhaps her company will serve to make the motions more interesting. I offer her a smirk, a brow rising towards her as I meet her eyes momentarily. "Ah, and it feels as if much has changed since I saw you last too." For starters, she has a ... pep about her. No longer does she seem burdened by that child's past and future.

I keep my distance but I am sure to lead her down the twisted, gnarled paths and towards the sands. Soon, the loam lightens and shifts to become the beach and I pause for a moment atop the dunes as I turn to watch her face. "I don't suppose you've come to just see the ocean this time?" My grin is a little more genuine this time. "Iromar is no longer Aithne's. How should I feel about that?"
