Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK, LIKE A HOLE IN YOUR HEAD
She stared at him, trembling, her tail still tucked between her legs. She saw the white of his mask, the black-flecked orange of his eyes. Ehiyeh recoiled as he leapt away from her, jerking haphazardly in fear and shock. This was not her- this had never been her, this scared and broken creature. He had twisted something inside her, perhaps not broken it, but bent it to a point where it was so gnarled and knotted that it would take far too long to straighten. The woman did not know what to do, the snow had been stained and her purity taken but yet she could not attack him. She could not will her body to move. Perhaps that was the worst of it, her body, numb and frozen and stiff.

Ehiyeh watched as he crumpled into the snow, lowering himself in what appeared to be a show of submission. Without words, he was asking for forgiveness, but she could not give it. Tears formed at the corners of her eyes and began to spill down her face as she stared at him, as still as the stagnant air of a den on a hot day, or a lake in the summer. She could not speak either, her thoughts trying desperately to break through the barrier that had been created. But walls were going up, sectioning pieces of her mind off, in an attempt to hold her until she was far away from her.

Her mouth opened, but for a moment she still stood in silence. Before she lost the will to speak or move she knew that she must do it now, less she collapse in the snow beside her attacker. "I... cannot, and will not forgive you." She said in a hoarse whisper. Her eyes grew dark, angry. "You... you did something terrible... you are a terrible man. I hope... the snow... you stained... takes you." Stiffly, she moved a paw forward and placed it back down. And then another, and another, until she had walked past him and in the direction of her home.

Ehiyeh paused before she was too far away for him to hear her. "Or perhaps living with what you... have done to me... would be a worse punishment." She continued to walk.
