For such a broiling summer it made sense that this winter would also be horrendous. Winter had finally came to the fields and again Mother Nature was being harsh. She had ensure that her pack would remain fed and well taken care of, but there was only so much she could do. Tick Tock knew what was happening to her and she was far more annoyed with it than afraid. The grey fur around her muzzle and eyes told everyone what was happening to her and she could do nothing to stop it. Instead she continued to move around and fall into her daily schedule as Alpha. It was good to have a schedule. It was necessary to make sure she did something with herself rather than lie around and wait. The pack was well fed now and with winter being cruel she would accept its help but allowing it to eliminate any threats that would come along her border. The snow had been trickling downwards far north of her territory and it was only a matter of time before it would come along to her southern borders. Slowly she made her way towards the border that faced Diveen, wanting to stay close to that area should the new Alpha come. It would seem today she was in luck.
Grey-trimmed ears twitched back and forth as she heard the call of the other Alpha. For a moment the Monster looked over to her daughter. There was pride within her sapphire eyes as she looked onto her child. She was rather strong and in her prime. The Monster was proud to have created such a perfect prodigy. She loved her daughter, as much as she loved her son, and she was pleased to have one at her side today. It wouldn’t be long now until the change would come and yet for now the Monster was not willing for anything to change just yet. A haunting, powerful howl was lifted upwards into the dark grey sky, alerting the Alpha that the Monster heard his call and would be coming. Slowly she made her way towards him, walking quietly with Nevermore at her side. It was important that she come and see, to learn. The Monster would eventually make her presence known along the border, her obsidian frame easy to see over the shorter stalks of the fields. It was evident that she had aged and yet she didn’t falter at all. Her dial was held proudly as her tail swayed side to side behind her, in a non-pompous manner. She was an Alpha and yet she didn’t show it when she sauntered before another creature, power was simply something that naturally oozed from her. As she came closer to Orion, she stood just a few feet in front of him. Nevermore standing silently to the side, watching ever so carefully. The Monster would speak, her voice soft and cold, as it slithered from her jaws.
“Welcome to Asteraia, new King of Diveen. I am pleased you were able to make it. Would you like to come in?”
